had a private audience with the representatives of 5 Israeli families whose relatives were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7.
During the meeting, the Pope expressed his closeness to the families who have been living in pain for the past six months.

met with his counterpart in the Vatican, H.E. Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See, to talk about the release of the hostages and the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
